Kết luận
Số lượng các bệnh do ve truyền (TBDs – tick-borne diseases) đang gia tăng và xu hướng này được dự báo sẽ tiếp tục trong thời gian tới, nhất là các vùng rừng núi và bán rừng núi có sự sinh sống và làm việc của quần thể người. Dựa trên các nghiên cứu thực nghiệm trên động vật, nhiều tác nhân gây bệnh tiềm ẩn do ve truyền đã được đề xuất và có tiềm năng gây bệnh cho con người. Đồng thời, phổ biểu hiện lâm sàng của các TBDs ngày càng đa dạng, bao gồm cả những biểu hiện lâm sàng chưa được nhận diện đầy đủ của các tác nhân gây bệnh đã được biết đến.
Để xây dựng các chiến lược hiệu quả nhằm ứng phó với sự gia tăng của TBDs, cần hiểu rõ hơn các yếu tố sinh thái và sinh học thúc đẩy sự mở rộng phạm vi phân bố của các vector (ve) và vật chủ chứa tác nhân gây bệnh, cũng như động lực học của hệ vi sinh vật trong cơ thể ve có thể điều hòa sự xuất hiện của các tác nhân gây bệnh.
